Using STAAD.Pro to Build a Better Steel Bridge – ASCE Student Chapters
This session utilizes the “flipped classroom” approach.
Prior to the live session, work at your own pace (and at your convenience) on the on-demand materials (available here). These free videos and exercises help you to practice modeling members, assigning properties, modeling loading, and analyzing/designing steel structures in STAAD.Pro--in preparation for the 2015 ASCE/AISC Student Steel Bridge Competition.
Then, ask an expert from Bentley any questions you may have during a live Q&A session for ASCE Student Chapter steel bridge teams. The session allows you to ask follow-up questions about the topics you’ve already learned about via the on-demand tutorials (on model generation, and on loading & analysis, in STAAD.Pro).
The Academic Insider Skills Special Interest Group (SIG) connects educators and students to peers and Bentley experts, to discuss topics and resources important to your learning efforts. Agenda will vary, and be specified in each session invitation. Don’t miss this interactive opportunity to gain access to exclusive content and resources from Bentley experts that can help drive efficiency, speed, and quality improvements to your projects and workflows.
