    12:15 - 12:35
User Presentation - Ronan Collins, MRT, MMG Gamuda, AECOM Collaboration
Drones, Cloud Computing and BIM – Digital Transformation of Metro Construction
Mass Rapid Transit Corporation (MRT), MMC Gamuda KVMRT (MGKT) and AECOM are collaborating on the design and construction of the underground works for the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) line. The underground works involve the design and construction of tunnels, ten stations, cross-overs, portals and escape shafts along the 13.5 km alignment from the Jalan Ipoh North portal to the Desa Waterpark south portal. MRT are embracing the latest advances in engineering technology and are incorporating them into the implementation of the project. Most notably, MRT mandated Building Information Modelling (BIM) maturity level 2 throughout the design, construction and asset management and operation stages for SSP Line. The SSP project will likely be the first Metro Project in Asia mandating Level 2 BIM and benchmarking BS1192 collaborative workflow using a Common Data Environment (CDE). The presentation will illustrate how the MRT-MGKT-AECOM team are collaborating using DJI drones for photogrammetry, Bentley’s ContextCapture, Microstation Connect and ProjectWise to create and share 3D site models. The merging of site surveys models with BIM design models is a fast, efficient and powerful way to digitally connect the design engineers with the sites along the metro alignment.

    Advancing Smart Cities
Reality Capture and Consumption for Smart Infrastructure

Technology is the enabler for smart cities around the globe, spanning mega projects to smaller scale initiatives that focus on streamlining processes, realizing efficiency gains, and improving services to its citizens. The advancement of reality modeling – the process of capturing existing site conditions with the use of digital photographs or point cloud data – has offered a renewed focus on the potential for delivering against smart city objectives. This session will look at how reality modeling integrates with other business workflows and how it can be applied to a variety of disciplines.

    Electrical
Meeting the Challenges of Ever-changing Industry Requirements

As the owner-operator of an electric and distribution network, you are faced with energy demands, green initiatives, aging infrastructure, new smart grid technology, an aging workforce, demanding regulations, and many other challenges. Learn the structure to plan, design, manage, and operate your utility infrastructure optimally. In this session, you will hear the latest updates in Bentley Substation and Promis.e functionality. You will also learn how to best apply our software capabilities to your projects and workflows. Join us to discuss with peers on how you might best adopt the technology and face the challenges.

    Oil and Gas
Integrated Project Delivery for Oil and Gas & Heavy Industries

Learn about the challenges facing the oil and gas industry and how leading global EPCs are succeeding by going digital with Bentley technologies. See for yourself the latest applications and discuss with peers how you might best adopt them. In this session, you’ll explore how the connected data environments of ProjectWise and AssetWise can enable the sharing of digital engineering models from CAPEX to OPEX, optimizing the TOTEX for owner operators. Hear about the latest developments in reality modeling to capture the “as is” conditions of existing assets that help the revamp, retire, or replace decision making process and see demonstrations of the latest design and analysis applications that enable you to reduce costs and streamline project delivery.

    Road and Rail Transportation
Transforming the Transportation Software Landscape with OpenRoads and OpenRail

Governments around the world invest in infrastructure to combat the problems associated with population growth, urbanization, and climate change. While some regions invest heavily in new projects, others target efficient maintenance and the rehab of existing infrastructure to improve reliability and reduce congestion. In this session, you will learn how Bentley’s common data environment, with its significant footprint in rail and transit, allows you to leverage information at a component level throughout the lifecycle from planning, through detail design and construction, to operations to deliver increased safety, service, and reliability.
